This week was gift week! I made these three pop up gift cards (well, cards with images of gifts, to be precise) with the same three patterned paper sheets and lots of ribbons. They all have the same color scheme and “feel” to them, but they’re very different in their pop up mechanisms and visual effect.
Like them? Wanna know how to make them yourself? Well, if you live in Israel I have some good news! By the end of May I’ll be hosting a workshop at “Mastikim” Studio, Ra’anana. It’s going to be lots of fun, I hope to see you there! I will publish more details of the workshop soon.
Have the best week!
This “Love You” card is a basic sliding tab card, a fun technique that is simple to make and will suit well as a card for children.
Since spring is upon us (believe me, I’m constantly sneezing…), I decided it’s time to get back to a beloved color combo- green, pink and purple, with a touch of gold. I think it came out just a little too “sugary”, yet I like it!
This is officially the first card I made for the spring! It’s such an elusive season here in Israel. Before you know it it’s too hot to go outside and you may as well call it “summer”… So why celebrate spring? Well, [A] the days are longer and it makes me happy [B] The sun is warmer and it’s almost time for summer dresses [C] I find it funny but I DO start using brighter colors in my work, ditching the grays and blues for pink and orange!
This card was made for the lovely wedding of my friend Liat. She had an amazing year full of new beginnings and hope. For this spring I wish you all fresh starts, brave acts and welcomed changes.
