Nitzan’s Birthday Pop Up Card

My cousin Nitzan celebrated her 12th birthday while at camp in Finland. Because she was so far away, and it is a very special birthday (“Bat Mitzva”), she had a bit of a surprise waiting for her. The entire family sent cards and small gifts along with her camp instructor, which were given to her on the morning of her birthday.

She is the youngest of the family and a true princess. The card I sent her had three spreads to it, two pop-up surprises and a written page in between. I chose vibrant, girly colors to make the card look cheerful and energetic.

The first pop-up is the cake, for which I used the template by the created, one and only, Robert Sabuda.

The second pop-up is my own design for a gift box. I originally created this one for a workshop I hosted a while ago.

…And there was even a matching envelope!

Pink Flower Pop Up Card

A couple of weeks ago one of my clients became the proud father of a little baby girl. Knowing him for quite a while now, I thought it would be nice to bring a card that is less than ordinary.

Creating this floral pop-up card I got the chance to use a color scheme which has always been one of my favorites – pink and green. To make sure the card is classy and not too busy, I used a “hot” pink dotted card stock, but rather muted shades of green.

Have a fun week!
